Questions?
Do I need a running coach?
A running coach can be a valuable asset, whether you’re a beginner looking to start running for the first time or an experienced runner aiming to set a new PR or BQ. If you’re serious about improving and want a structured, personalized approach, a running coach can make a big difference in reaching your goals. We hold our runners accountable, use our expert knowledge, and provide constant feedback which will help any runner improve both physically and mentally.
How will I see my training plan?
You will access your training plan through V.O2, a user-friendly platform designed for structured and personalized coaching. Once you sign up and create your account, you’ll receive an invite to join our coaching dashboard where you can view your training, track your progress, and receive any necessary adjustments. Everything you will need for your training will be in one place, making it easy to stay organized and focus on your goals.
How often can I communicate with you?
You can communicate with your coach up to 3-4 times per week by either phone, text, email, or the V.O2 platform. Whether you have questions about workouts, need adjustments to your plan, or just want feedback on your training, we’ll be available to support you. Our goal is to provide timely and helpful responses so you stay on track and keep confident with your training.
How much do our coaching services cost?
Our coaching services are $140 per month with no contracts or long-term commitments. You'll receive a personalized training plan, regular communication 3-4 times per week, and expert guidance to help you reach your running goals. You can cancel anytime if your needs change. You can learn more here
Is there any communication with just the custom training plan option?
This option provides a structured 12-week plan tailored to your goals but does not include ongoing coach communication. If you'd like communication, we recommend the personal coaching package.
How do I know which training package would be good for me?
Choosing the right training package depends on the level of support and guidance you’re looking for. Personal Coaching Plan is best if you want ongoing communication, feedback, and adjustments to your training. You’ll have regular check-ins (3-4 times per week) and direct access to your coach for questions, motivation, and race strategy. The Customized Training Schedule is ideal if you’re confident in following a structured plan on your own but still want a professionally designed program tailored to your goals. This option provides a roadmap for your training without the ongoing communication.
I’m sick or injured, what do I do?
This is where having a coach is important. Depending on how severe your sickness or injury is we’ll adjust your training schedule to allow for proper recovery. The most important thing is to listen to your body and avoid pushing through pain or illness. Your long term health and progress matter more than any single workout. Just communicate it with us and we’ll adjust accordingly.
Can I reschedule a workout?
Yes, we understand that life happens and sometimes you may need to reschedule a training session. If something comes up let us know so we can adjust appropriately. Flexibility is part of the training and we’ll help you make these adjustments as needed to stay consistent and healthy.
Can I skip part of a workout?
You're not going to feel your best for every workout. That's just how running works. There will be times where you're just not feeling strong. In these cases we will want to cut the workout short. The last thing we want is to force a workout and end up injured. So yes, sometimes you will need to skip part of a workout.
Are there any communication limitations?
We are always happy to support you, but to keep communication effective, we ask that communication happens at appropriate times, ideally during normal waking hours. Our coaches typically have a quick response time and let’s also keep in mind that our coaches will be in touch 3-4 times per week as part of your coaching plan. But if something comes up, reach out, and we’ll do our best to respond as soon as possible.
How will I know which coach will be best for me?
We want to make sure you’re paired with the right coach for your goals, experience level, and personality. When you fill out the questionnaire, we’ll consider factors like your running background, your goals, or even your communication preferences. If you ever feel like another coach might be a better fit for you, we’ll try our best to adjust. Our main goal is to provide the best coaching experience to help you succeed.
